Although 25 years have passed since James "Buster" Douglas' knockout of heretofore indestructible Mike Tyson on Feb. 11, 1990 at the Tokyo Dome, it still resonates with those who remember it today.

A dinner was held on Wednesday February 11, 2015 at Villa Milano on the Far North Side of Columbus, Ohio, for the “ Silver Anniversary Celebration” of the victory. Douglas and his manager, John Johnson, pushed hard for the evening’s subtitle — “Fighting to Save Lives.”

Marvin Swain Jr. had the privilege of meeting his friend James “Buster” Douglas, when he attended the Silver Anniversary of the “Fight that Shocked the World.” All proceeds from this notable event went to the Maria Tiberi Foundation and the Stephanie Spielman Fund.
